Lianet's work is characterized by work in multiple supports, dimensions and techniques. These are paintings, drawings, photographs, collages and sculptural or installation structures whose processes of reference and meaning transcend the two-dimensional plane. It is through this operation that he channels his ideas. These start from personal experiences, own or not, in interaction with the daily context and more general experiences that inform and shape the work process.

Statement:

Lianet Martínez's work focuses on the three-dimensional field, combining sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, photography and unconventional materials. Use the object as a symbolic vehicle to explore memory, perception, identity in transit and the tension between the intimate and the collective. His sensory and conceptual research reflects on how experiences - personal and shared - are inscribed in the body and in space. He is interested in the construction of truth through the sensitive and the symbolic, as well as how our perception of reality is configured from personal history, knowledge and emotion. The observation of nature, time and daily rituals are keys to his visual universe, from where he articulates poetics of transformation and belonging in contexts of constant change.
