Zapata Gallery presents Volumen IV, a collective exhibition celebrating the gallery’s fourth anniversary and paying tribute to the artists who have been part of its history and evolution. Opening on Saturday, October 24 at 8:00 PM at 1333 Coral Way, Miami, Volumen IV brings together 34 artists from different generations, trajectories, and artistic languages, creating a broad perspective on the gallery’s program and the relationships it has cultivated since its founding. Conceived as both a celebration and an expression of gratitude, the exhibition recognizes the trust, support, and creative dialogue established between the gallery and its artists. Every exhibition, artwork, and collaboration has contributed to defining Zapata Gallery’s identity and to building an artistic community that continues to grow.

Rather than proposing a single theme or aesthetic language, the exhibition creates a dialogue across generations and practices. Painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and conceptual approaches coexist through investigations of memory, identity, history, spirituality, migration, the body, architecture, landscape, materiality, and transformation.
The exhibition also reflects the breadth of contemporary Cuban art and its intersections with broader international artistic contexts. Established figures whose work has contributed to the development of Cuban and Latin American art appear alongside contemporary and emerging voices, creating connections between different moments, experiences, and ways of understanding artistic practice. At the core of Volumen IV is the idea of continuity.
The exhibition looks back at the relationships that have shaped the gallery while simultaneously affirming its future direction.
“Volumen IV brings together past, present, and future: a celebration of those who have been part of this journey and a reaffirmation of our commitment to contemporary art and to the artists who give it form.”
